Надпись на памятном знаке гласит: «Настоящие мастерские расположены на месте, где в 1723 году по повелению императора Петра I был построен Генералом-майором Генниным переделочный завод и основан город Екатеринбург. Завод обращён в мастерские в 1883-1885 г.г. во время сооружения Екатеринбурго - Тюменской железной дороги» |
