Description
English: The intersection of 18th & R Streets, NW in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, D.C. The large building on the left is The Duncan, the former Taiwanese Chancery that was converted into a condominium in 2006. The smaller buildings on the right include 1765, 1763, 1761, & 1759 R Street, NW. The former home of Thomas Nelson Page, 1759 R Street, was designed in 1896 by Stanford White (of McKim, Mead, & White) and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. All of the buildings pictured are contributing properties to the Dupont Circle Historic District.
