Description
English: Plaque affixed on the western wall of the chapel : ►(File:18 June 1815 – Waterloo – Hougoumont. The chapel.jpg).

To the memory of the brave dead this tablet was erected by his Britannic Majesty Brigade of Guards, and by Comte Charles Van der Burch. 1907 –– [Inscription at the bottom of the elaborate frame].

The three-lingual (en/fr/de) main epitaph reads :

Visitors are earnestly requested to treat this chapel with respect for within its walls on the memorable 18th June, 1815, many of the brave defenders of Hougoumont passed to their rest.

On est prié de respecter cette chapelle où pendant la mémorable journée du 18 juin 1815 tant de vaillants défenseurs de Hougoumont ont rendu leur dernier soupir.

Hier starben am 18ten Juni 1815 viele tapfere Verteidiger von Hougoumont den Heldentod. Die ihnen zu Ehre retaurierte Kapelle wird dem Schutze des Publikums dringend empfohlen.
