In the November 1898, The Horseless Age Magazine covered the automobiles at the English Cycle Show in London, and mentioned the car having a single cylinder Pennington engine with 800 RPM. The vehicle was started by turning the horizontally mounted flywheel of 32 in Diameter. Front wheel deliver traction, steering is by rear wheel. The car features rope Transmission. Claimed Speed was 18 MPH. It was a cumbersome machine, and few were built. Derived from the American Kane-Pennington built in Racine WI, this Pennington was built in Great Britain by the Great Horseless Carriage Co., used imported K-P engines, and was distributed by Pennington & Baines Co. |
