Carrollton, Louisiana (now a section of the city of New Orleans), 1840. Illustration showing steam locomotive of the New Orleans & Carrollton Rail-Road Company (later to become the St. Charles Avenue Streetcar line) in front of the old Carrollton Hotel. At right a family waits on a platform.
