180815-N-WO404-108 CONSTANTA, Romania (Aug. 15, 2018) Vice Adm. Lisa M. Franchetti, commander, U.S. 6th Fleet and commander, Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO, speaks with Vice Adm. Alexandru Mirsu, chief of the Romanian Naval Forces, during Romanian Navy Day in Constanta, Romania, Aug. 15, 2018. Franchetti visited Constanta to participate in Romanian Navy Day, which coincided with the 100th anniversary of the unification of Romania following the end of World War I. U.S. 6th Fleet, headquartered in Naples, Italy, conducts the full spectrum of joint and naval operations, often in concert with allied and interagency partners, in order to advance U.S. national interests, security and stability in Europe and Africa.
