Summary

[edit]
Description 170906-N-VV353-028 NAVAL STATION ROTA, Spain (Sep. 6, 2017) - Cmdr. Bryan Gallo, center left, commanding officer of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71), speaks with Contralmirante Pedro Luis de la puente Garcia-Ganges, center right, Spanish delegation chairman of the Permanent Committee, during a tour of the ship, Sept. 6, 2017. The U.S.-Spain Permanent Committee enhances long-term bilateral defense relationships between the two countries, support national security policy objectives and provide counsel to the ambassador as an integral member of the Embassy's country team. Just as ship performs lines of operation that provide a capability, Navy Region EURAFSWA bases perform the same eight lines of operation to provide capability to the fleet, joint and allied forces. These eighth lines of operation are: air operations, port operations, safety, security, housing, MWR, Fleet and Fleet and Family Services and what is called the core: the fuels, water and power that keep the bases running. Through our lines of operation, our installations are force multipliers that maximize combat capability of operational units. (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 3rd Class M.
