Edited in Heidelberg by Johann Christian Walter based on the Latin edition of Francfort 1598, which departs significantly from Las Casas's original Spanish text. This edition reproduces 17 engravings made by Théodore de Bry that dramatically depict alleged Spanish atrocities in America. |
