(FFH-Schutzgebiet DE-3346-301) . (The "Tegeler Fließ": A green ribbon cuts through the Berlin concrete-jungle. The photo was taken from underneath a railroad bridge the crosses overhead just behind the camera. The "Tegeler Fließ" with its green borderlines is here rather narrow (approximately 100 to 200m) and traverses ad this point the densely built area of Tegel, a Berlin suburb) The photo respective area is an excellent example how protective measures in direct vicinity to densely populated urban areas can provide for protected living space for nature and its creatures, while simultaneously improving the quality of living and residing in the middle of urban neighborhoods immensely. |
