Description
English: The medium wide scene of one of the screens in Johnson Space Center's space station flight control room (FCR-1) announces a special occasion as the Expedition 38 crew, the space community and the rest of world are set to observe the 15th Anniversary of the International Space Station. On Nov. 20, 1998, a Russian Proton rocket launched the Zarya module, the first piece of the orbital outpost. Out of frame, flight director Dina Contella paid tribute to the anniversary at the exact moment of launch 15 years ago.
