Description U.S. Navy Aviation Machinist?s Mate 3rd Class Alex Lasan signals the pilots of an MH-60S Seahawk helicopter assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 15 to land on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) Sept. 22, 2014, in the Pacific Ocean during exercise Valiant Shield 2014. Valiant Shield is a biennial U.S. Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps exercise held in Guam, focusing on real-world proficiency in sustaining joint forces at sea, in the air, on land and in cyberspace.
