Description
English: 1321 R Street, N.W., located in the Logan Circle neighborhood of Washington, D.C., was built in 1878 for journalist and Medal of Honor recipient Henry Van Ness Boynton (son of Charles B. Boynton, Howard University's first president). Designed in the Italianate architectural style, the building is a contributing property to the Fourteenth Street Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.
