Summary
[edit]Description12th Street and Main Street, Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati, OH (28225467258).jpg | This San Francisco-esque building on Main Street in Cincinnati's Over-the-Rhine neighborhood is known as the Belmain Building. Constructed in 1875, the building has three-over-one double-hung windows that are likely replacements of the originals, as these were the most popular in the early-to-mid 20th Century, a time period that the front facade appears to have been extensively modified. Another notable feature are the two four-floor bay windows on the building's front facade, which are the defining feature of the building's identity, and match the metal canopy over the front door. Today, this significant building has been restored and renovated, and now houses LEED-certified loft apartments on the upper floors, with two retail establishments in the storefronts at street level. |
