| Description |
Deutsch: Das 1. Konventssiegel der Abtei Hamborn, von 1299 bis 1780 nachgewiesen. Hochovales Siegel mit leichter Zuspitzung, ca. 64 mm hoch, ca. 49 m breit. Umschrift: „+ SIGILLVM ECLESIE HAMBVRNENSIS“. Unterhalb des Bogens steht: „IOH BAPT IOHS EW“. Beschreibung: Unter einem flachen Bogen, der zwei reichgegliederte spätromanische Türmchen trägt, stehen die beiden Kirchenpatrone St. Johannes Baptist mit einer Kreuzscheibe und St. Johannes der Evangelist mit einem Buch im Arm. Darüber in einem Kleeblattbogen die Halbfigur der Muttergottes mit Kind auf ihrem linken Arm, in der anderen Hand ein Zepter haltend. |
