English: Name: The Christian town of Ma'iliya in the western Description: Ma'aliya, a Greek-Catholic Christian Arab town with a population of about 3,300, west of Ma'alot, sits within the confines of a Teutonic Crusader fortress from the 12th-13th centuries. In the center of the village, near the fortress, is the local church, which is illuminated every year for Christmas and New Year's Eve and is a center of attraction for travelers עברית: שם: העיירה הנוצרית מעיליא במערב הגליל תיאור: מעיליא, עיירה ערבית נוצרית יוונית-קתולית מונה כ-3300 נפש, ממערב למעלות יושבת בתחומי מצודה צלבנית טבטונית מהמאות 12-13- במרכז הכפר סמוך למצודה שוכנת הכנסייה המקומית המוארת מדי שנה לקראת חג המולד וראש השנה האזרחי ומהווה מוקד משיכה למטיילים הערות: סמוך למצודה מסעדה איטלקית בשם שאטו דה-רואה ( השם הצלבני של המצודה) היושבת על אתר ארכיאולוגי מטופח -גת צלבנית- רומית ביזנטית שניתן לראותה דרך חלונות זכוכית ברצפת המסעדה. בשנים האחרונות הוקמו בתחומי המצודה מספר חדרי ארוח. מיקום: מעיליא קובץ מקורי: IMG_0152.JPG |
