English: (From left to right) Brig. Gen. Rickard Johansson, commander of Sweden's 1st Division, discusses operations with Brig. Gen. Robert W. McBride, 11th Airborne Division Deputy Commanding General, Operations while visiting a training area for Swift Response 24, May 12, 2024 in Skillingaryd, Sweden. Swift Response 24 is a U.S. Army Europe-led exercise in conjunction with Defender Europe 24 focused on the strategic deployment of continental United States-based forces, employment of Army Prepositioned Stocks, and interoperability with Allies and partners. Taking place from May 5 to May 17, Swift Response 24 demonstrates 11th Airborne Division’s ability to rapidly project power, provide command and control assets, and build new partnerships with the Swedish military.
