Name: Dhamesh Mosque, Lod
Description: The mosque was built in 1904 by Dhamesh al-Khalil, a resident of the city. An Arab architect from the Jaffa Municipality was brought in to build the mosque. Six shops were also incorporated in the construction of the mosque. And the proceeds were all donated to the upkeep of the mosque, payment to the imam, the muezzin and relief services for the poor.

תיאור: המסגד נבנה ב 1904 על-ידי דהמש אל-חאליל, תושב העיר. לבניית המסגד הובא ארכיטקט ערבי מעיריית יפו. בבניית המסגד שולבו גם שש חנויות. והתמורה נתרמה כולה לאחזקת המסגד תשלום לאימאם, למואזין ולשירותי סעד לעניים.
הערות: על-פי עדותו של דהמש הבן הכיל המסגד 800 מתפללים בזמן תפילת יום שישי. מאוחר יותר מול המסגד הוקמה מזרקה אשר מימיה שימשו את תושבי העיר. בכיבוש לוד ב-1948 היה אירוע שבו עפ"י תושבי לוד הערבים, הותקף המסגד ע"י חיילי צה"ל וזה מכונה "טבח המסגד הקטן" נושא טעון שנכתב ונחקר רבות- האם מדובר בטבח או בקרב.
