תיאור: קיבוץ אפק(משמר הים) מראה כללי
הערות: אֲפֵק - קיבוץ השוכן בין קריית ביאליק לקריית אתא, בדרום עמק זבולון. השם אפק מופיע בתנ"ך בנחלת מטה בני אשר. קיבוץ אפק התחיל בגרעין של תנועת הקיבוץ המאוחד שהתיישב בחולות קריית חיים ב 1935. ב 1936 נכנסו חברי הקיבוץ לעבודה בנמל חיפה והעבירו אותה לידיים יהודיות. ב 1939 הקימו חברי הקבוצה יישוב חומה ומגדל בשם "משמר הים", בתחילת 1941 הוחל בבניית הקבע של קיבוץ משמר הים. ב 1944 נחפרה באר מים.חברי הקיבוץ עברו לאתר הקבע החדש ב 1946 והקיבוץ נקרא אפק.
