Description: An important archaeological site in Samaria. which gained its peak of fame after the Israelites settled in the land, when this hill - which is lower than the surrounding mountains - was used as the place of the Mishkan and the Ark of the Covenant, the spiritual center for the 12 tribes of Israel. According to Jewish tradition, the tabernacle sat in this place for 369 years

תיאור: אתר ארכיאולוגי חשוב בשומרון. שזכה לשיא תהילתו לאחר התנחלות בני ישראל בארץ, כאשר שימשה גבעה זו - הנמוכה מההרים שבסביבתה - כמקום המשכן וארון הברית, המרכז הרוחני ל-12 שבטי ישראל. לפי המסורת היהודית, המשכן ישב במקום זה במשך 369 שנה
