הערות: בשנים האחרונות יש מגמה להתחיל בפרויקט תעלת נחל אזור שהוא יוזמה של מועצה מקומית אזור ורשות ניקוז ירקון ובשיתוף עם ערכת שילובים נופיים בני קיימא, שמובילה אדר' נוף מתניה ז"ק מהטכניון. מטרת הפרויקט לשפר את תעלת הנחל, שכיום הינה מבוטנת ומגודרת, החוצה את היישוב ומנקזת עודפי מים מיישובי הסביבה באגן עד לפארק אריאל שרון. גם פיתוח פעולות חינוך וקהילה סביב הנחל למען חיזוק הקשר ליישוב ותחושת הזהות המקומית.
