English: 7 Lithic implements
1) Debitage, secondary flake. length mm width mm. Dark grey colour, this has less then 50% cortex remaining. Date Prehistoric. This is a waste flake from the manufacturing process. 2) Debitage tertiary flake. length mm, width mm. Creamy patina, no cortex remains. Date prehistoric. This is a waste flake from the manufacturing process. 3) End and Side Scraper. Bulb has been destroyed possibly to manufacture, abrupt, sub-parallel, direct, rough retouch on the forward edge and left side, the forward edge is curved. Milky patina covering 40% of the dorsal, the rest of the patina has been removed by the retouch. Date Bronze Age 4) Side scraper. Circular in plan, curved retouched edge on the left side consisting od semi-abrupt, scaled, direct retouch. The bulb is missing from the ventral, 70% cortex covers the dorsal side. Light grey patina. Date Bronze Age. 5) Debitage tertiary flake. length, width. Creamy patina, no cortex remains. Date prehistoric. This is a waste flake from the manufacturing process. 6) Horseshoe Scraper. Invasive flaking scars on most of the ventral, 20% cortex on the butt. Sub-parallel, direct retouch along three sides creating an elongated semicircle. Creamy patina with light grey speckling. Date Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age. 7) Possible Gun Flint, (Pistol), Small bulb on the ventral. Direct retouch or damaged on the dorsal. Dark grey colour. Date 16th-18th century 8) Side and end scraper. Scaled direct retouch on the forward edge and left side. Dark grey flint with a Fine patina forming. Date Bronze Age |
