Description: The tower was built between 1952-1954 and is located at the highest point in the kibbutz. The water tower very quickly became the symbol of the kibbutz. The ground floor and the upper floor were used as a water reservoir,

תיאור: המגדל נבנה בין השנים 1952–1954 והוא ממוקם בנקודה הגבוהה ביותר בקיבוץ. מהר מאוד הפך מגדל המים לסמל הקיבוץ. קומת הקרקע והקומה העליונה שימשו כמאגר מים, והקומה האמצעית עברה גלגולים רבים, ושימשה בין השאר כמשכן לספריית החברים.
הערות: גִּבְעַת חַיִים (אִחוּד) הוא קיבוץ בעמק חפר ליד חדרה. הקיבוץ נושא את שמו של חיים ארלוזורוב, המזכיר המדיני של הסוכנות היהודית, שנרצח בשנת 1933 בחוף ימה של תל אביב. קיבוץ גבעת חיים איחוד נמצא צפונית לקיבוץ גבעת חיים מאוחד.הקיבוץ הוקם בשנת 1952 בעקבות הפילוג שחל בתנועת הקיבוץ המאוחד בשנים 1951–1952. הקיבוץ הוותיק, גבעת חיים, נותר בידי הקיבוץ המאוחד ונקרא גבעת חיים מאוחד והקיבוץ החדש נקרא גבעת חיים איחוד. הגרעין המייסד של הקיבוץ הורכב מחברים שפרשו מהקיבוץ הוותיק (חברי מפא"י והבלתי מפלגתיים)ויקיפדיה
