SACRAMENTO, Calif. – A view of the workstations at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District’s new emergency operations center, housed at its headquarters building here. The new EOC was showcased to district employees during an open house event Jan. 26, and is designed to support the district’s around-the-clock response to disasters. “We're trying to publicize the knowledge that the EOC is here, in the building, and to give people an idea of what we do on a daily basis,” said Christy Jones, a program manager with the Sacramento District’s readiness section. |
