| Description |
English: Architectural detail of 1001 14th Street NW in Washington, D.C., in the United States. This image is looking west at the facade of the building. Gray concrete forms the lintel and casement for the window, and the walls of the building. The window is hexagonal, a typical feature in Modernist architecture. The casement for the recessed window, however, is rectangular. All the window casements in this building are made of prefabricated concerete, creating a repetitive, decorative aspect to the building's facade. This is a 12-story Modernist structure designed by Vlastimil Koubek and built in late 1979. |
