Description
English: Soldiers from 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) move through concealment provided by a smoke grenade to receive an ammunition resupply from a UH-60 Blackhawk during the Air Assault Demonstration in Eerde, Netherlands as part of the Operation Market Garden 80th Anniversary Commemorations, September 17th, 2024. The demonstration consisted of a company-size element conducting a breach and follow-on assault of a fixed enemy position and was attended by over 12,000 people. The 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) is the World’s only Air Assault Division. As part of the XVIII Airborne Corps, the 101st provides unique sling load and joint forcible entry capabilities that range over thousands of miles.
