הערות: ניר עוֹז הוא קיבוץ חקלאי בחבל אשכול, שבמערב הנגב הצפוני. הוקם ב1955 מול חאן יונס, על ידי גרעין של הקיבוץ הארצי, כהאחזות נח"ל ה-15 והקיבוץ ה-70 של הקיבוץ הארצי. יועד להתבסס על לול, רפת, גידולי שדה, בעיקר שעורה, ומטעים. בהקמתו התגוררו מתיישביו בצריפים וחדר אוכל היה אוהל גדול. העלייה על הקרקע התאפשרה הודות לצינור מפעל ירקון-נגב שסיפק מים להשקאת השדות באזור. באפריל 1957 הגיע למקום גרעין הקבע של הקיבוץ. במקום גן בוטני מוכר המשמש בעיקר לניסויים בהתאמת צמחים לתנאי מדבר עם למעלה מתשע מאות זני צמחים.
