Description
English: U.S. Army Lt. Col. Andre Ruff assumes command of the 1st Battalion, 57th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, in a ceremony on Barton Barracks, Ansbach, Germany, August 27, 2024. The 52D Air Defense Artillery Brigade Commander, Col. Hailey Bairu, presided over the ceremony. Looking ahead, the 1-57 ADAR is slated to modernize to the IFPC Weapon System, which will further enhance its ability to protect maneuver elements and counter a broader range of aerial threats. This modernization will ensure that the battalion remains at the forefront of air defense, capable of adapting to the dynamic challenges of modern warfare.
