会合に先立ち、アメリカ合衆国のヒラリー・クリントン国務長官による表敬を受けました。続いて、アフガニスタンに関する東京会合に出席し、開会セッションであいさつを行いました。その後、フランス共和国のローラン・ファビウス外相、国際連合の潘基文(パン・ギムン)事務総長による表敬を個別に受けました。
