Description
English: 081215-N-7981E-363 PACIFIC OCEAN (Dec. 15, 2008) Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) 1st Class Jerry Pitts, from Santa Maria, Calif., directs a U.S. Coast Guard HH-60 helicopter for launch from the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72). The helicopter participated in the evacuation of an injured merchant Sailor to Abraham Lincoln. The sailor was medically stabilized and flown to San Francisco for treatment.
