Description

7 November 1998 sees Chemin de fer Bex-Villars-Bretaye (BVB) BDeh4/4 no. 81 and trailer at Villars-sur-Ollon. This was ready to form train 63, 16:04 Villars-sur-Ollon to Pont Neuf. Because of road works in Bex, the street running section was closed thus resulting in an annoying short bus transfer.

After a reversal, the line continues from Villars-sur-Ollon to Col de Bretaye and because of the track layout, these are run as two separate sections. Both sections are rack operated in parts and voltage is 700V dc.

The BVB was merged with other metre gauge lines in the area in 1999 to form Transports Publics du Chablais (TPC)
