Description
Deutsch: Die niederländische Autobahn A7 (Rijksweg 7) führt über den Abschlussdeich (Afsluitdijk) zwischen dem Ijsselmeer und der Nordsee. Der Damm wurde zwischen 1927 und 1933 gebaut und ist Bestandteil der Zuiderzee-Werke (System zur Landgewinnung). Er hat eine Länge von 32 Kilometer und eine Breite von 90 Metern. Aufnahme entstand an der Arbeitsinsel Breezand (eine Halte-, Tank- und Wendemöglichkeit).
Simple English: The Dutch motorway A7 (Rijksweg 7) leads over the dike (Afsluitdijk) between the IJsselmeer and the North Sea. The dam was built between 1927 and 1933 and is part of the Zuiderzee works (land reclamation system). It has a length of 32 kilometers and a width of 90 meters. The photo was taken on the working island Breezand (a stop, tank and turning possibility).
