Description
Deutsch: Am Ende des Altonaer Hafens läuft ein Gleis der Kieler Eisenbahn den Berg herunter und verbindet hier die Elbe mit der Ostsee. Die beladenen Wagen werden durch eine Dampfmaschine an Drathseilen den Berg herauf und hinabgezogen, und die Güter direct aus den Schiffen in die Transportwagen geladen. Hart neben der Eisenbahn liegt am Hügelabhang der bekannte Vergnügungsort Rainville's Garten, von wo aus man eine reizende Aussicht über die Elbe hat. Von hier an beginnt die Zollgrenze für das Herzogthum Holstein, auch liegt hier mitten im Strome das dänische Wachtschiff, das früher dem Köhlbrand gegenüber lag.
