For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. ADN-ZB Pätzold-25.12.1987 Schwerin: Im Schweriner Schloß finden die Konzerte im Thronsaal das spezielle Interesse des Musikpublikums. Der Prunksaal wurde im 19. Jahrhundert nach Plänen des Berliner Baumeisters Friedrich August Stüler gestaltet und 1974 restauriert. Säulen aus Marmor schmücken den Raum, an dessen oberer Wandzone die Wappen der 40 Städte Mecklenburgs zu sehen sind. Der Thronsessel aus dem Jahre 1750 gehört zu den wertvollsten Ausstattungsstücken (r.). (siehe 5N) |
