CATALOGUE OF COTTAGE ROSE GARDEN, COLUMBUS, OHIO. 5 T NOVELTIES IN ROSES AND VARIETIES OF SPECIAL INTEREST >»»»»»»»»>^^^^^^^^^^^^>^>^^^^^>»^^»»>^>»>»>»^^^^»»»> HE varieties described below are the latest introductions and include some very promising kinds, which come highly recommended, and we have no doubt will become standard varie- ties. On account of their scarcity, we have only young plants to offer. Miss Helen Gould. One of the most remarkable roses of recent date. As strong growing as the best of the H. P.'s, with large, hand- some foliage, flowers of full form and large size, which Is equalled in profusion by no other rose of Its size that we have. The color Is bright glowing carmine. The bud is long and elegantly pointed; it Is as sweet as a June rose. As an outdoor bedder Its col- or is vei'y brilliant. We pre- dict that it will become one of the most popular of bed- ding varieties, of which good reds are very scarce. Price for nice young plants, 15 cents. Lady Dorothy. One of the most beautiful Roses; color hard to describe, but perfection in tint. It is a sport from Perle des Jar- dines,a,nd is a lovely mingling of pink and tawny buff, a warm, bright color, but lack- ing the coppery red found in Sunset. A very distinct and valuable variety. Foliage as handsome as the flower. Price for nice young plants, 15 cents. White Lady. (Hybrid Tea.) One of the startling new Roses of recent date. It has gigantic flowers with enor^ mous magnolia-like petals; one of the hana^9W9^t and, most effective of roses, and" very distinct. The color Is white, delicately flushed with pale pink; blooms are borne in great profusion on stiff stems, with heavy foliage. In England, the past year, it took first prize at the Crystal Palace show for twelve blooms of any white rose over all competing varieties. Price for young plants, 35 cents. Bessie Brown. (Hybrid Tea.) A rose of transcendent beauty, totally distinct, and one of the largest and fullest; it is erect and vigorous in growth, flowering profusely in the open ground all through the Summer. Color pure white, sometimes faintly flushed pink; petals enormous and of shell shape; it is marvelous that such large flowers can be so freely produced. Re- ceived gold and silver mf'dal from the National Rose Society (England), and numerous certificates and prizes. 35 cents each for young plants.

white; i^ady Lady Clan morris. (Hybrid Tea.) Perfectly distinct; a splendid rose, of very robust growth and free branching habit, flowering continuously and freely throughout the season; blooms very large and of good form, petals large, smooth and of great substance; creamy white with delicate salmon center, edge of the petals margined pink. 35 cents for young plants. «*Liberty." Hybrid Tea. Nearest approached by Meteor in color, this new comer surpasses that standard variety in purity, being without the tendency to blacken which Meteor frequently shows* It has every evidence of being a continuous bloomer. In habit the plant is erect growing, and displaying a strong Inclination to make a compact bush. Price, for young plants, 20 cents.
