Description

Poplar Lutestring!

More trapping last night under clearing skies and with a temperature dipping to around 13 degrees, things are starting to cool down gradually.

The moths numbers have also nose-dived with less and less each time I trap.

Thankfully though my catch last night included two nice species, a garden first Poplar Lutestring and a year first Acleris aspersana.

Magpie Moth put in another appearance, they really are a beautiful looking moth.

The numbers were made up by 32 Common Rustics and 8 Straw Underwings, the rest were pretty much ones and twos.
