Catch Report - 14/07/11 - Farmland/Back Garden - Hertfordshire Another pleasing night, but we really are lacking in the amount side of things, most species being represented by only 1 or 2 individuals, and that is just the supposedly common stuff! Mild'ish again but clearing skies at times and a big bright moon probably didn't help. Was nice to see an even fresher Pine Hawk-moth and Rusty Dot Peal is a good'un as well. The star was a single Aethes rubigana a new micro species for my records. The Eucosma species turned out to be Eucosma obumbratana, which is a great record for East Hertfordshire, a rather scarce little Moth.
