中文（臺灣）：清代時期的宗教建築及書院隨著戰爭時代的到來，演變成為了軍隊駐紮地；此塊古碑為日治時期日軍進入鹿港，北白川宮能久親王因停留在文開書院而刻碑紀念；在經歷日本撤退後國民政府來台，竟意外地沒被銷燬，更顯得珍貴。
