中文（臺灣）：八爺，為城隍爺部將，與「七爺」可能是頭城城隍廟最早組裝之大神尪，職司拘拿鬼魂、賞善罰惡。八爺，名「范無救」，故又稱「范將軍」。頭城城隍廟舊八爺大神尪，為真人等身之大神尪，頭戴上方寫有「合境平安」之長型四方帽，身穿藍色長衫，手持虎頭令牌與鎖鏈。 台灣的大神尪（神將）文化，以宜蘭頭城、新北蘆洲、桃園大溪三地最具代表性，而頭城甚至被稱為是「大神尪的故鄉」。頭城本地的大神尪又以頭城城隍廟與頭城東嶽廟為代表，大神尪的數量甚多，頭城城隍廟有26尊，頭城東嶽廟有16尊，共42尊。城隍爺聖誕或東嶽大帝聖誕時，位於北門的東嶽廟與位於南門的城隍廟兩廟大神尪盡出，形成以大神尪為主體的神明遶境陣頭文化，相互較勁，人稱「南北門拚鬧熱」。此外，頭城與宜蘭兩市街的大神尪，基本上是以東嶽廟及城隍廟所屬的冥司系統中所創生；1980年代起，社會經濟更加成長，頭城與宜蘭各地廟宇競相為主神部將裝設大神尪並組織神將會，使得大神尪的類型更顯多元。 |
