Description
中文（臺灣）：中美兩國第一次聯合舉行的兩棲作戰演習，於九月八日清晨在高雄市南方二十五公里的枋寮灘頭開始，參加的部隊，包括中美兩國海軍軍艦，海軍陸戰隊和海軍航空隊所用兵力，雙方各半，據說共有各種軍艦四十艘到五十艘，登陸用的機械小艇和人員車輛登陸運輸艇八十艘到九十艘，兩棲戰車四十輛到五十，輛兵員人數達八千人。這次定名為「陸吼」的大演習，目的在測驗中美聯合作戰的效能，亦是中美共同防禦條約簽訂以來，首次的中美聯合大演習。中央社記者秦炳炎攝　民國四十七年九月八日
