中文（臺灣）：「竹田車站」原名為「頓物驛」，初建於大正八年(西元1919)，是一簡易停靠站，為日人為興建屏東至南州段之潮州線鐵路而設置；昭和13年(1938年)因客貨運增加而擴建成現今之木造站房，並由單軌改建為四軌，增加月台、員工宿舍等設施。 |
