日本語: 明治5（1872）年5月の品川横浜間仮開業にはじまり、鉄道網は、産業の発展と深くかかわりながら、整備されていきます。
明治5年の我が国最初の鉄道開設に際して作成されたと推定される、新橋横浜間の鉄道路線図です。明治5年5月7日、品川・横浜（現在の桜木町）間に我が国はじめての鉄道が仮開業され、次いで工事が遅れていた新橋・品川間も同年7月25日に路線敷設が完了し、9月12日に新橋・横浜間の鉄道が本開業されました。同駅間は当時29キロメートル、所要時間は、ノンストップで53分でした。この図面は新橋、横浜間の鉄道路線図です。作成した機関、年月日は不明ですが、恐らく鉄道を所管した工部省が仮開業前後に作成し、太政官に提出したものと思われます。 本図の含まれる「公文附属の図」は、平成10年「公文録」とともに、国の重要文化財に指定されました。 原図サイズ：東西193.2×南北38.6cm。 |
