This is the plague infecting Tokyo right now: politicians running around in cars armed with really, really loud megaphones, trying to win votes for next week's election. These cars can be seen everywhere: not just in downtown areas but even on narrow roads around otherwise quiet neighbourhood areas, from early morning to late evening. One would think that annoying the hell out of potential voters in their homes is a less than brilliant tactic, but this is Japan after all... |
