中文（繁體）：恆春搶孤的習俗相傳了幾百年，一開始是恆春城內較有錢的人在中元普渡後，將祭品開放給城外較貧苦的人來拿，這是「搶孤」的由來。由於爭搶祭品每次都會造成打架或是踩傷的情況，在光緒5年時，設計出以「爬孤棚」的競賽方式來取得孤棚上的祭品。 |
