中文(臺灣):台灣清代時期較著名的龍山寺共有五座,由北至南依序為咸豐8 年(1858 年)年的淡水龍山寺、乾隆3 年(1738 年)年的萬華龍山寺、乾隆41 年(1776 年)年的鹿港龍山寺、雍正年間的台南龍山寺及乾隆年間的鳳山龍山寺,這其中以鹿港龍山寺規模最大,為台灣少數具有高度藝術價值的傳統寺廟建築,有「台灣紫禁城」與「台灣藝術殿堂」之稱。
