中文（繁體）：日治時期屏東地區菸葉專賣事務隸屬「臺灣總督府臺南支局屏東辦事處耕作係,至日大正13年(1924)屏東辦事處升格為「屏東支局」後仍隸屬耕作係掌理種菸許可、田間栽培技術輔導、菸葉採收乾燥、調理以及收購等業務。屏東歸來菸廠建於日昭和11年(1936)，當時稱之為「屏東支局葉煙草再乾燥場」。日昭和12年(1937)起開始作業，增加菸葉複薰、裝桶及儲存等業務。在尚未建設乾燥廠前的黃色種菸葉複薰作業，均由當時之臺中支局菸草再乾燥工場(現臺中菸葉廠前身)代為複薰加工。戰後專賣局支局改稱為分局，並於民國36年4月本廠業務由分局劃出，成立「臺灣省專賣局菸葉有限公司屏東辦事處同年9月省專賣局改組，奉令改稱為臺灣省菸酒公賣局菸業管理委員會屏東辦事處，至民國38年10月菸葉管理委員會撤銷，能改稱為「臺灣省菸酒公賣局屏東煙葉加工廠，民國39年10月復在場內成立屏東菸草工廠，承隸屬總局專司捲烟製造。民國42年1月屏東菸草工廠正式歸併本場，成立捲菸部負責捲製香蕉牌、嘉禾牌、珍珠牌、樂園牌等紙菸及芙蓉牌、保林牌等菸絲，全銜亦改稱為「臺灣省菸酒公賣局屏東菸廠，迨至民國54年12月捲烟部撤銷。(國家文化資產網) |
