Description
日本語: 湘南モノレール大船駅の傍らから大船観音像を望む。2004年11月29日、本人撮影。

大船観音像は胸像（胸から上だけが作られている像）である。

この方角から見ると、あたかも観音像が全身の立像で、胸から下が埋まっているかのように見えるため、「大船観音は本当は全身があるのだが、大地震（関東大震災など）で背後の山が崩れたため胸から下が埋まってしまっている」などと言われる事があるが、これは事実無根のja:都市伝説である。
