| Description |
中文（臺灣）：此張照片為天長斷崖峽谷的景致，可以看見山脈經過地形抬升、河流下切而完成的深邃峽谷地形。天長斷崖是臺灣位於花蓮縣木瓜溪上游左岸，由菲律賓海板塊與歐亞大陸板塊持續碰撞擠壓下被抬升後，所形成的斷層崖。最初此地只是太魯閣族（木瓜蕃）利用的獵徑。直到日治時期，總督府闢建初音奇萊橫斷道路，全線打通後改稱為「能高越嶺警備道路」。戰後，此路線成為臺電保線路。而位在天長斷崖上的天長隧道是臺灣電力公司進行引水工程時所建，隧道內沒有照明設施，行駛於隧道內需小心駕駛。本資料出自於《顧我洄瀾：花蓮歷史影像集》，此書由花蓮出身的葉柏強先生撰寫，是一本擁有大量歷史影像的書籍，於2016年（民國105年）出版，可以透過此書了解花蓮的城市變遷樣貌。 |
