Description
中文（繁體）：不合時宜的大型公共住宅只能拆除重建嗎？拆除建築物會產生大量廢棄物，也消耗更多能源。大公園之城選擇了改造的手法：建築師構過分析居民的生活方式和舊設計的缺陷，最低限度地改善空間。居民不但不必在施工期間搬遷，改善後的外牆和新增的「冬季花園」減少了暖氣的使用，使人們能以新的方式舒適地住在他們熟悉的家。
English: Can large, outmoded housing only be torn down and rebuilt? Demolishing building produces large amounts of waste and consumes even more energy. Cité du Grand Parc opted for renovation: by analyzing the lifestyles of the residents and the defects of the old design, the architects made minimal changes to the space. Not only did the residents noy have to move during the construction, the renovated outer walls and new "winter garden" lowered the use of heating, giving people a new way to live comfortably on their familiar homes.
