中文(繁體):《新製儀象圖》(On Astronomical Instruments and Apparatus),臺北市士林區陽明山次分區臨溪里(雙溪庄外雙溪)
English: Ferdinand Verbiest S.J., a missionary in China from 1669 to 1674 during the Qing dynasty, was commissioned to administer the design and construction of an ecliptic armillary sphere, an equatorial armillary sphere, an azimuth instrument, a dial, a sextant and a stellar globe. The representation reproduces the six instruments built by Verbiest and their positions on the roof of the Beijing Observatory. The work entered the Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticana in 1685. |
