English: The Eulogy Inscribed on the Stone Gate, also known as the Yang Mengwen Eulogy, is a cliff inscription in clerical script from the Eastern Han Dynasty. It is located on the cliff wall of Shimen at the Bao-xie Passageway in Hanzhong City, Shaanxi, China. The text was composed by Wang Sheng, Governor under the Han Dynasty. It eulogizes the opening of the passageway at Shimen by Colonel-Director Yang Mengwen. It is written entirely in slender clerical script with vigorous strokes. |
